From a method of working which is uncomplicated and does not overly tax the time (or patience) of the sitter, the artist can produce a finished portrait based on a single sitting.

Following a series of oil sketches and photographs, produced by the artist, Eugene Conway is able to catch essential characteristics of the sitter, completing the portrait in his studio.
